Government set up a committee of six members headed by Shyam Benegal including with actor & filmmaker Kamal Hassan and director Gautom Ghosh to holistically take care the operations of controversial cantered Censor Board.
The panel was set up on Janualy 1 to take a relook at the operations of the Board by the I&B ministry.
Last week Jaitley said that the film certification guidelines need modern explanation and should be as non-discretionary as possible.
Jaitley made it very clear and showed his desire earlier, before the panel was set up, that he wants the Certification Board to be controversy-free, he also said that he already discussed with experts that what should be the future role of this panel.
