Afghan forces destroyed 5 suicide attackers who were targeted Indian consulate in Jalalabad
Afghan security officers on Wednesday killed a group of suicide bombers terrorist who tried to attack the Indian department office in the eastern city of Jalalabad, in the following attack around 6 individuals were injured.
A bomb was an auto driven by one of the terrorist who were exploded close to the Indian department office, shattering doors, windows and destroying at least eight different cars. Blasts and gunfire shook the zone, said witnesses.
“Their plan was to destroy the Indian department office, however our forces shot them all stopped them well before they achieved their Target,” said a representative of the legislative leader of Nangarhar province.
Vikas Swarup representative MEA said no office staff members were injured. The leader of the public health department in Nangarhar said at least six people wounded in the suicide bombers attack.
Jalalabad confronts a rising risk from supporters of the Islamic State crowd, which controls territory across Syria and Iraq and is now making space in Afghanistan — challenging the Taliban on their own turf.
It was second time that Indian consulate was attached by terrorists, last In January, at the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif Indian office was attacked by terrorists.
