Some 70,000 Syrian refugees might reach the Turkish border if the army campaign there continues at this depth, Turkish prime Minister Ahmet Davutolgu mentioned on Tuesday, adding Turkey is not going to shut its gates to the refugees.

Davutoglu made the comments in a speech to his party in parliament. Turkey, which is at present sheltering 2.5 million Syrian refugees, has mostly kept its gates closed in present-days as a tens of thousands seek refuge from Syrian and Russian aggression on opposition-held territory in northwest Syria.
