The note was sent to the police workforces ranging from the top to bottom, a to z officers working all around the country, as part of the initiative to connect with them.
The personalised SMS was sent by PM Narendra Modi to 18 lakh employees of police forces and paramilitary forces yesterday on the event of the Republic Day. The note was sent from govt bulk SMS pool and was established from ‘DZ-PMModi’ sender link.
It’s first time that a PM has directly connected with all policemen across the country.
During the DGPs session held in Gujarat in December last year, PM had expressed his desire to wish each cop of the country, and asked to all DGPs to give the list of contact numbers of all the cops before 26 January so that SMS would be send on Republic Day to all the cops.
