Jaipur: Rajasthan, Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Dudu area was found defaced by few unknown miscreants, with a possible threat of attacks on the Republic Day by ISIS.

The incident and the message scribed on the statue have created a panic in Dudu, police said that efforts are on to find out the people behind it.

As per the sources ‘ISIS zindabad’ and ‘ISIS’ was scribbled on the statue. Additional SP Dudu said the note was written on the backside of the statue with the threat of damage on January 26.

The incident seems to be a reaction on the recent action taken by the Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has recently blocked 94 websites linked with Islamic State of Iraq, and 12 suspects detained from across the nation for their links with terror group ISIS, and on Monday they all sent in remand under NIA custody till February 5 by special court.

“Those 94 websites used to radicalise people online by ISIS have been blocked. We are monitoring the websites and social media platforms, so those will not be mishandled. Whenever we found a website used to circulate ISIS agenda is being blocked by us. ATS is building a website to connect with the people,” said Maharashtra ATS Chief Vivek Phansalkar.
