French president Mr Francois Hollande, the chief quest on on Republic Day, pays visit to India. This visit raise hopes for India-France relationship in many ways, like, employment to combating terrorism together.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande on Sunday shared their concern over the growing menace of terrorism in the backdrop of attacks in Paris and Pathankot, with Modi pitching for a collective fight to defeat the “enemies of humanity”.

Mr. Modi said “The day when Paris was hit by terror attacks, I had decided that the guest at Republic Day parade must be from France”
India’s talent and France’s manufacturing can achieve a lot together, says Pm Modi.

“India has launched a program to create 100 smart cities. France will contribute in development of three of these: French President François Hollande”
