On a spectacular, bat-filled day of action in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26, Virat Kohli added yet another record to his illustrious career. The Delhi star became only the ninth cricketer in the world to surpass 16,000 runs in List-A cricket, cementing his status among the format’s elite.
Kohli reached the landmark in just 330 innings, making him the fastest player ever to achieve 16,000 List-A runs — a feat previously held by Sachin Tendulkar, who took significantly more matches to get there. His career List-A average now stands at 57.6, second only to Michael Bevan among players with at least 10,000 runs.
In addition to this milestone, Kohli also added to his impressive tally of centuries and continues to close in on Tendulkar’s record for the most hundreds in List-A cricket.
The high-scoring day across the domestic tournament wasn’t just about Kohli — other players also put up colossal numbers, making it one of the most memorable rounds of Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket in recent memory.
