India has unveiled its provisional 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, marking the return of key players Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav. Bumrah, who suffered back spasms during the final Test against Australia, and Yadav, recovering from a groin injury sustained in October, are set to bolster the team’s bowling attack.

The squad, announced by chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma, also includes wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who was previously omitted from the T20 series against England. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami makes a comeback after an ankle injury that sidelined him for over a year. Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal has received his maiden ODI call-up and is poised to make his debut in the format.

India’s Champions Trophy campaign is scheduled to commence on February 20 against Bangladesh. The squad features prominent players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul, aiming to secure India’s third title in the tournament’s history.
