Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, joined students’ protests at Jantar Mantar today afternoon over Rohith Vemula’s suicide last month and ongoing JNU crisis said, “Modi government looks to have a war with the students of this country.”
“He said that students have the right to speak and we have the right to elevation our voice against wrong things,” he added that the government is taking action against students for expressing in opposition.
Arvind said, “Modiji students se pange mat lena (Don’t mess with students Modiji),” If all students come together, they will shake your PM’s chair in a manner that you will never forget.
Today, before Arvind Kejriwal Congress president Rahul Gandhi had come to support the students march in Delhi to demand justice for Rohith Vemula and Kanhaiya Kumar.
Rohith Vemula’s family were also present at the “Chalo Dilli” protest marched for around a kilometre to Jantar Mantar.
The protest is for millions of Dalits like Rohith Vemula, minorities and women’s freedom of speech, freedom of expression and basic education.
