Univision is the new Owner of Gawker Media after the bid of $135 million

The TV system and computerized distributor have consented to pay $135 million for the bankrupt web site system, as indicated by a man acquainted with the arrangement.

Univision’s offer will incorporate each one of the seven of Gawker Media’s locales, including Gawker.com

Ziff Davis and Univision were the main two bidders for Gawker, which petitioned for liquidation after Hulk Hogan and Peter Thiel won a $140 million judgment in a sanctuary case. Ziff Davis had initially offered $90 million for Gawker Media.

Here’s an announcement from Gawker Media proprietor Nick Denton: “Rubberneck Media Group has concurred tonight to offer our business and prevalent brands to Univision, one of America’s biggest media organizations that are quickly amassing the main advanced media bunch for millennial and multicultural gatherings of people. I am satisfied that our representatives are ensured and will proceed with their work under new proprietorship — unraveled from the legitimate crusade against the organization. We couldn’t have picked an acquirer more committed to energetic reporting.”
